What do zoo animals do when they need a snooze? Some animals find a soft place to lie down when they get sleepy. Other animals can nod off almost anywhere! Alligators sleep while drifting in the water and flamingos sleep standing up. Children will love seeing hippopotamuses basking in the sun, lions displaying gigantic yawns, and animals napping in many different places.

Caroline Arnold has written over one hundred children's books. Many of those are about animals, including the Zoo Animals series. She lives with her husband in Los Angeles.
